How an Online Vehicle Appraisal Works
From choosing a service to receiving your report, here's exactly what to expect — plus our full pricing, so there are no surprises.
1. Choose your service
Pick the appraisal that matches your situation — registration, insurance, diminished value, or pre-purchase/trade-in. Not sure? Tell us and we'll advise.
2. Submit your details & photos
Fill out our online form with your vehicle information and upload the requested photos (and any documents that apply).
3. We review & research
We verify the vehicle's details and research comparable market data to support an accurate, defensible valuation.
4. Receive your report
Your finished appraisal report is emailed to you as a PDF, ready to use for its intended purpose.
Simple, tiered pricing
Pricing is set by service type and vehicle complexity. "Standard" covers most everyday passenger vehicles; "Classic / Exotic / Modified" applies to collector, high-performance, heavily modified, or otherwise harder-to-value vehicles. Rush service is available as an add-on where turnaround allows.
| Service | Standard Vehicle | Classic / Exotic / Modified | Rush Add-On |
|---|---|---|---|
| MTO / Service Ontario Appraisal | $89 | $149 | +$40 |
| Insurance Appraisal (Agreed Value) | $149 | $229 | +$50 |
| Diminished Value Appraisal | $199 | $279 | +$60 |
| Pre-Purchase & Trade-In Appraisal | $69 | $99 | +$30 |
Prices shown are starting rates and confirmed with your quote before you pay. Payment is currently processed manually after your quote is confirmed (e-transfer / invoice); online checkout is coming soon.
Photos & documents to have ready
Having these ready before you start the form makes the process faster:
- Front, rear, and both side exterior angles
- Interior — dashboard, seats, and odometer reading
- VIN plate (usually inside the driver's door jamb or on the dash)
- Any damage, wear, rust, or modifications, photographed up close
- Supporting documents if relevant: bill of sale, repair invoice/estimate, previous registration, prior appraisal
How long it takes
Standard turnaround: 1-2 business days from receiving complete information and photos.
Rush service: available for most services — ask when you request your quote.
Some MTO / Service Ontario appraisals may require a brief in-person step — we'll confirm this before you pay. See the MTO appraisal page for details.
